My Summary

Fu Shen is from a direct line of a powerful military general which controls the biggest army in the nation. Tho his merit and contribution brought peace to the land countless of times, the emperor was scared of his power for the Fu's are always known to be loyal to the land and not to the monarch.

Yan Xiohan is the imperial guard that the current emperor trusted the most. He was pick up as an orphan by the old eunuch of the former emperor and was raised solely to the be the emperor lackey.
Both man were well known for their mutual dislike, a pair of arch enemies since forever due to the different views they had about loyalty.

But when Fu Shen was ambushed hard at a mission, injured his both legs that he cant even walk, the emperor takes this chance to suppress Fu Shen's power and cutting off the Fu's generation by marrying him to his most trusted man, Yan Xiohan.

He wanted Yan Xiohan to control Fu Shen's disability and takes advantage of his power for he knows about their mutual dislikes of each other and hoping that power of the army will fall into his hands soon.

But, the emperor forget to investigate properly the caused of the hostility. He didnt even ask how did those two knows one another when one was stationed in the border while one was running rampaged in the imperial palace. He didnt realize that while both are powerful enough to reject the marriage and rebelled for it, they accepted the edict.

Until it was too late...
